Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Alija Izetbegović Doctoral Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following conditions.
Enrolled in a Doctoral Program
Be officially registered and enrolled in a doctoral (PhD) program at a university in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
PhD Qualifying Exam Passed
Have successfully passed the PhD qualifying exam, or provide proof of completing an equivalent stage at the applicant's institution.
Age Requirement
Be no older than 30 years of age as of the application deadline.
Academic Standing
Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20/4.00, or 8.00/10.00 for institutions using a 10-point grading system.
Employment Status
Not be employed full-time during the scholarship period. A written declaration confirming that the applicant is not and will not be engaged in full-time employment is required.
Exception: Applicants employed in academic positions at universities, research centers, or similar institutions are exempt from this restriction, subject to official documentation. The scholarship amount is reduced by 25% during the period of such employment. The Foundation and Scholarship Committee must be informed in writing before starting any such position.Required Documents
