Alija Izetbegović Doctoral Scholarships

Jointly administered by the Alija Izetbegović Foundation, IUS, and İlim Yayma Foundation.

Application Period: 1 July – 15 July 2026

Monthly Stipend: 2,000 BAM (KM)

Duration: 2 years (extendable by 1 year)

Eligibility Requirements

  • Bosnian citizenship
  • Enrolled in a PhD program at a BiH university
  • Completed first year of doctoral coursework
  • Passed PhD qualifying exam (or equivalent stage)
  • Maximum age: 30 years
  • Not in permanent/full-time employment (academic positions excepted with conditions)
  • Minimum GPA: 3.20/4.0 or 8.00/10

Document Requirements

All uploaded documents must be in PDF format. Maximum file size per document is 5 MB. Ensure scanned documents are clear and legible.

Submission Deadline

Applications must be submitted by 15 July 2026. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered under any circumstances.

After Submission

You will receive a confirmation email upon successful submission. Results will be announced on 30 July 2026 on this website.
