Eligibility Criteria

Be officially registered and enrolled in a doctoral (PhD) program at a university in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Have successfully passed the PhD qualifying exam, or provide proof of completing an equivalent stage at the applicant's institution.

Be no older than 30 years of age as of the application deadline.

Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20/4.00, or 8.00/10.00 for institutions using a 10-point grading system.

Not be employed full-time during the scholarship period. A written declaration confirming current and future non-employment is required.Exception: Applicants employed in academic positions at universities or research centers are exempt from this restriction, subject to official documentation. In such cases, the scholarship amount is reduced by 25%.

Officially approved transcript from the completed Master's program.

Officially approved transcript. Cumulative GPA must be at least 3.20/4.00 or 8.00/10.00.

PhD Qualifying Exam Certificate
Proof of passing the qualifying exam or equivalent stage at the institution.

Letter of Motivation / Statement of Purpose

Proof of Student Status
Official enrollment certificate.

Supervisor's Approval Letter
Confirming mentorship and support for the proposed research.

Employment Declaration
Written declaration confirming the applicant is not and will not be engaged in full-time employment. Academic employees must provide an official letter from their institution.

Certificate of No Criminal Record
Issued by the competent authority.

Scholarship Details


Monthly Stipend
2,000 BAM
Paid monthly for the duration of the scholarship period to support living expenses and research costs.
Scholarship Duration
2 + 1 Years
Initially two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension subject to satisfactory academic progress.
